Operating Method: Install the vertical lift check valve vertically, with water flow upwards. The valve disc must be able to fall freely.Do not install horizontally; adhesion of the disc will cause leakage.Clearance and Piping: Leave a straight pipe section upstream with a clearance of 8 times the pipe diameter to support the pipe. The vertical lift check valve cannot support the weight of the pipe.
Q: Can I install this vertical lift check valve before the pump?
A: Absolutely. It's ideal as a pump suction/discharge protection device, reducing starting torque stress.
Q: Will the vertical lift check valve automatically close at low pressure?
A: With gravity assistance, it will close even at pressures below 1 PSI. A spring kit is required for vacuum systems.
