JQF Valve factory manufactures high quality GB standard flanged gate valves, which are widely used in petrochemical, thermal power, and other petroleum product and steam pipelines as opening and closing devices for connecting or cutting off pipeline media. By selecting different materials, customized GB standard flanged gate valves are suitable for various media such as water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, strong oxidizing media, and urea, and are available in manual, bevel gear, and electric drive versions.
Pre-Installation Checks
Verify GB standard flanged gate valves material compatibility with fluid media, temperature, and pressure. Inspect flange faces for scratches, ensure gasket material matches service conditions, and confirm bolts/nuts meet strength requirements .
Installation Alignment
Never force-align GB standard flanged gate valves. Misalignment causes seat distortion, leaks, or structural stress. Support pipelines independently near the valve. Tighten bolts gradually in a star pattern to uniform torque . Retorque after 24–48 hours of system operation.
Operational Discipline
Fully open or fully close the GB standard flanged gate valves—partially open positions accelerate seat/gate erosion from high-velocity flow. Use handwheels only; avoid wrenches/levers. Stem lubrication (EP-grade grease) is mandatory quarterly.
Testing Maintenance
Hydrostatically test GB standard flanged gate valves post-installation at 1.5× PN rating before system commissioning. Isolate valves from downstream equipment during testing. Annually: check packing gland tightness, stem corrosion, and flange-joint integrity. Replace worn packing rings immediately to stem fugitive emissions.
Storage Handling
Store valves indoors, protected from moisture. Keep end caps on until installation.
