Classification and selection of valves

Valves are key components for controlling fluid flow and regulation, and can be divided into block valves (such as gate valves and ball valves), regulating valves (such as globe valves), check valves, and safety valves according to their functions. When selecting, it is necessary to consider the characteristics of the medium (temperature, corrosiveness), pressure rating, diameter, and operating frequency. For example, plug valves are suitable for high viscosity media, and forged steel gate valves can be selected for high-pressure conditions. Proper selection can improve system efficiency and extend equipment lifespan.
