It is one of the most common and basic shut-off valves in various water systems (water supply, drainage, fire protection, irrigation, etc.). The core feature of the durable knife gate valve is its design specifically for water media, with materials, seals, and structure optimized for water characteristics.

Installation and Use Instructions

1. Valve Cavity Pre-inspection Requirements: Before installing the knife gate valve, thoroughly inspect the cavity and sealing surfaces, ensuring no dirt or grit remains.
2. Evenly Tighten Connections: Tighten all bolts evenly at all connection points.
3. Packing Adjustment Standards: Inspect the packing and compact it appropriately. While achieving a sealing function, ensure smooth and unobstructed gate opening and closing.
4. Verify Model and Flow Direction: Before installation, users must verify the knife gate valve model and connection dimensions, and confirm that the medium flow direction matches the valve markings.
5. Reserve Operating Space: During installation, users should reserve sufficient operating and installation space for the knife gate valve actuator.
6. Drive Unit Wiring Specifications: The wiring connections of the actuator must strictly adhere to the accompanying circuit diagram.
7. Periodic Maintenance and Protection: The knife gate valve requires routine maintenance as specified. Avoid any form of impact or pressure to prevent seal failure. 8. Post-overhaul testing of valve body: After completing the overhaul of the knife gate valve, the user should conduct necessary tests on the product performance to confirm that it has been restored to a usable state.

Use and Maintenance

1. Prohibition of Suspension and Collision Prevention: Lifting operations using handwheels, handles, and transmission mechanisms are strictly prohibited. Avoid any external impact.
2. Vertical Installation Specifications: Double gate valves must be installed vertically (valve stem vertical, handwheel at the top).
3. Bypass Valve Operation Sequence: When opening a gate valve with a bypass valve, the bypass device must be activated first (to balance the inlet and outlet pressure difference and reduce opening resistance).
4. Actuator Installation Requirements: The installation of gate valves with transmission mechanisms must strictly follow the technical specifications in the product manual.
5. Regular Lubrication System: Frequently used knife gate valves should be lubricated at least once a month.
